Study design

The first phase of the study is the online questionnaire. These questions cover factors that, according to current knowledge, can be associated with an increased risk of Parkinson’s disease or other age-related diseases of the brain.

Based on the online questionnaire answers, the study team will contact a subset of participants to complete a smell test they will receive via post at home. Finally, some of these participants completing the smell test will be invited for detailed in-person clinical examinations at our Research Clinic.

You can choose to participate only in the first phase (online questionnaire and smell test) or, if invited, join the following study step of an in-person visit. You are free to change your mind at any time.
